From 2 March 2009, the Agency for the Legal Deposit Libraries is based at 161 Causewayside, Edinburgh EH9 1PH. It is housed in part of the National Library of Scotland's building.

Important information for delivery drivers
The delivery point is different from the stopping point:
- Delivery point = inside the back door of the NLS building
- Stopping point = on street (Ratcliffe Terrace) at the gate to the yard, as signposted.
This means you have to unload your vehicle from the street. Whenever possible, ALDL staff will help with delivery.
Parking and unloading limitations
Because of its location, there are some restrictions on parking and unloading vehicles at the building:
- NLS Causewayside Building is on a narrow and very busy road.
- The building is at a crossroads controlled by traffic lights.
- The area has parking restrictions and is patrolled frequently by traffic wardens.
- During the day there are deliveries to other organisations near by, including a small supermarket, which can reduce on-street parking.
- The gates to the NLS car park are always closed. You will have to park your vehicle to open them.
- No turning inside the NLS car park, except by arrangement with NLS security staff at the building's Upper Gray Street entrance. (See location map above.)
- There is no provision for vehicles larger than 3 tonnes.
Agency opening hours
The Agency for the Legal Deposit Libraries is open during the following times:
- Monday-Friday: 10.00-17.00
- Saturday and Sunday: closed.
